Uttalande från Feministernas medlemsdagar 13-14 september 2025:

The global Sumud Flotilla is doing what the governments and international institutions are responsible for but have yet refused to do; follow international law and break the illegal siege on Gaza and ensure the flow of humanitarian aid to Gaza. The people are once again doing what the power has chosen not to do.
When Swedish civilians were illegally kidnapped, on international waters, by the occupation following Handala’s last attempt to break the siege, the Swedish government was silent. Their commitment to protect Swedish citizens and to follow international law is seemingly nonexistent when it requires taking a stance and putting pressure on an Apartheid state.
The time is now for us all to use all avenues at our disposal to protect and support the flotilla.
The governments refusal to use any available tools is nothing more than an admission of their acceptance of the kidnapping of Swedish citizens and the reality of an ongoing genocide and illegal siege, as well as a clear violation of their responsibility in alignment with international law to prevent genocide.
We demand that the Swedish government

• use our military resources to protect the Flotilla’s delivery of humanitarian aid.
• utilizes diplomatic channels with the occupying power and the EU to ensure the safety of the Flotilla crew, as well as the deliverance of the flotilla’s humanitarian aid.
• holds Israel accountable for the bombing of “Family boat” and “Alm”, two of the ships in the flotilla.
